Do you have or qualify for Medicaid?
· Are you a Missouri resident and above 18 years old?
· Do you require home care?
· Are you able to direct your own care?
If you answered “yes” to all of the above, congratulations, you are a CDS candidate!
Anyone you want, except your spouse and parents for their child who’s under 21 years of age. Anyone can enroll and become your paid caregiver. You can choose an adult child, a trusted friend, a loyal neighbor, or even a personal care assistant you already know.
Yes! You may have more than one caregiver to care for you at different times of the day or week, depending on how many hours a week you’re eligible for. We encourage that you have at least 2 and you may have up to 4.
Q: Can my spouse be my caregiver?
A: NO. DART Homecare is required to check marital status verifications including court marriage licenses to verify attendant is not the spouse of a consumer.
Q: Can my child under 18 be my attendant
A. NO. All attendants must be 18 or older
Nothing at all! However, you need to have Medicaid to be enrolled.
Not necessarily. DART Homecare can help you find out how to get approved or re-enrolled.

Q: Do I need special certifications to become a caregiver?
A: No, since caregivers are assisting with daily tasks, certifications are not required.
Q: Will I be trained as a caregiver?
You don’t need to have any Home Care experience. The consumer will work with you and train you. DART Homecare does provide training on required processes and procedures.
Yes. Your name can be added to our 'available caregiver' database.
Please note! The Personal Care Assistant (PCA)/ Caregiver is the employee of the Consumer not DART Homecare. DART Homecare assists the Consumer with the hiring and training as needed.
